Trampoline, Playset, & Above Ground Pool Removal

Table of Contents

Trampolines, swing sets, and playhouses are large outdoor toys. Children spend hours playing with these toys for years. Unfortunately, there comes a time when routine maintenance is no longer effective. The parents will need to decide which disposal method would work best for their budget and resource availability. Most garbage collection services do not classify large outdoor toys as household waste, leaving the disposal to the owners.

The disposal of large outdoor toys is much more complex than just a landfill drop-off. If you break the disposal process down, it would be in at least four steps. The first step is to disassemble the large toy, the second step is to load the toy onto a trailer or bed of a truck, the third step is to haul the disassembled toy to a landfill, the fourth and last step is unloading the disassembled toy. Not all consumers have the resources needed to complete each step of the disposal process. In this case, we suggest our playset disposal and removal services. Do-It-Yourself Trampoline Disassembly Made Easy

As mentioned previously, most landfills, recycling centers, and donation facilities only accept disassembled large playsets, including a swing set and trampoline. It is the owner’s responsibility to disassemble the trampoline before hauling it to a disposal facility. Disassembling large playground equipment requires a significant number of resources – time, hand tools, and manpower. Not every consumer has access to such resources, which is where our junk removal service comes into play.

We will dispatch a junk removal team to your property for the disassembly of the trampoline. You will then have the option of taking over the removal or giving us the approval to continue forward with the process.

Starting with the safety net and safety poles, disassemble and lay them to the side. Remove the safety frame pad and trampoline platform by detaching the t-anchors, long, and short bungees. Disassemble the frame and place it aside. Remove any remaining components to complete the disassembly process.

DIY Playhouse Disassembly

Depending on the size of your child’s outdoor playhouse, the disassembly could take between 30 to 90 minutes. The first step of the process is to disassemble the roof of the playhouse. With the roof out of the way, you will have clear access to the walls, windows, and doors. One wall at a time, remove and place in a pile to keep all the components organized.

With the walls out of the way, the floor is the only component left. However, if the playhouse has a slide, swing, and other features, these will need to be removed before the playhouse is disassembled.

With the playhouse fully disassembled, you can load it into the bed of your truck or trailer. Secure the components to ensure they do not become flying debris throughout the transport. When you reach the landfill or waste transfer center, pull into the appropriate parking spot, and wait for an attendant to direct your truck to the drop-off area.

Unload the playhouse into the appropriate trash bins to complete the process.

Our Swing Set Removal And Disposal Services

Swing sets are large outdoor toys like trampolines and playhouses, complicating the removal and disposal processes. Like all outdoor playground equipment, swing sets must be fully disassembled prior to dropping off at a landfill. The disassembly will vary from one swing set to another. The more features, the longer the disassembly will take to complete. Being prepared to spend several hours disassembling the swing set will play in your favor because it will eliminate the need to feel rushed.

If you do not have access to a truck or truck and trailer, you can take advantage of our junk removal services. A qualified junk removal team will collect and transport the disassembled swing set to a waste transfer facility or landfill.

There are several disposal methods that accept disassembled swing sets of all sizes. These include:

  • Recycling CentersMetal and plastic are the most common materials utilized in swing set manufacturing. These materials are recyclable. You can drop them off at a local recycling center for cash
  • Thrift Stores – Google swing sets can be donated to a local secondhand or thrift store
